     What is the Digital Divide?      Although it may seem like everyone has equal access to technology, that is far from true. Digital Divide is the difference between those who have direct access to the internet and technology and those who do not. Examples Some rural schools do not have access to high-speed internet, leaving students with no access to technology in school.  Some parents do not have digital literacy to help their children at home with technology issues or apps.      While yes, most students in America do have access to technology, there are still many schools across the country that don't have as much as others. Some still have old school printers, no laptops or smart boards, and have a bad internet connection, especially in rural areas.     Digitial Citizenship      Understanding digital citizenship is crucial for success in the digital world. Teaching our students to develop empathy online and ensuring they understand the lasting impact of their online posts will help them succeed in the future.                      My Takeaways     Cyberbullying  is something that unfortunately comes with the use of the internet. If we teach our students the importance of being kind to others and not using technology to create hate, we will ensure a better online experience for students.
